"5hrs for 20 seconds"

So, I tried out for Bet's Sunday Best on Saturday February 6,2010. It was a great experience. I met some really nice people also trying to get there shot at fame. The auditions were scheduled from 8am-12noon. I arrive at the Philadelphia Convention center at 8am sharp. Little did I know that when doing these types of things you have to get their way ahead to get a jump start on everyone else. So as I approach the center, the line had already went up 12th st back to 13th street outside. Then once you get in there's another line. So it's about 32degrees outside, I have no winter coat. It was forecasted to be 50 degrees that day,but not just yet. That cold air was kicking everyone's behind. So I stand in the outside line for about 3 and a half hours, then I get inside to stand in the inside line for 2hrs! A total of 5hrs! They're were THOUSANDS of people there. So finally we get a number and they ask us to go into an auditrorium. I guess to get some promo shots. Then all of sudden they say "Are y'all ready for Kirk Franklin?" Well the audience of contestants goes wild! He comes out and greets us and also to offer a few words of encouragement. He later comes into the crowd for pictures and autographs. They asked our group to move on,so I didn't get to meat him. So then we move down the hall to the audtion rooms. My nerves start acting up. They had a list of songs that they wanetd us to choose songs off of. I knew about 4. Ok, so they finally ask us into the auditon room. They ask 20 of us in. We all line up on two rows of 10. I was third in the first row. Wow! Here's my time. They tell us we have 20 seconds to choose the best part of the song and sing it. So, i totally did NOT sing a song off of the list. Wrong thing to do i guess. Anyway we all finish and they choose. Sorry to say that I didn't make the cut. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. We must follow our dreams when the oppertunity presents itself.

RealMusic.

Just want to talk about the music, mainly R&B! I really don't listen to the younger stations because I'm not attratced to anything there. I mainly keep my ears to the Gospel or Adult stations. So, I just wondered if I was alone out here. So I created this blog. All are welcome to comment on this blog. I want to talk about Who's Hot,Who's Not. Who Should Come Back,Who Should Give It Up. Oh, How about the New Sade Album "Soldier Of Love"? I'm a HUGE Sade fan!! The first Single titled "Soldier of Love"...Mannnnn!! I didnt want to listen to it off the internet. I wanted to wait til I had it in my hands. But I couldn't resist,so I listend on line from my phone. WOW!! It sound "Wyclef-ish", but i was wrong. However, the track is OFF THE HOOK!! Can't
wait til Feb. 10.
